LiDAR remote sensing

LIDAR technology allows non-intrusive measurements of wind conditions over a wide measuring range (20-200 m) even in adverse weather conditions.

In particular, it allows you to perform the following activities:

  • Evaluation of aerodynamic effects in complex environments (flow separation, recirculation, turbulence) through analysis of experimental data
  • Measurements and elaborations of turbulence, flow angle, wind speed and vertical wind direction in particular critical positions of the wind site
  • Correlation with standard anemometric data and possibility to move the instrumentation in various points of the environment in a very short time
  • Reduction of the uncertainties of the calculation models and of the anemometric database
